Our Story

NINOS is the Spanish word for CHILDREN. The vision was conceived out of concern for children whose destinies are being truncated due to poverty, uncaring parents, lack of vision/ dream of a better life and lack of infrastructure on the part of government. The foundation was registered in February 2012 as a non governmental organization.

  • We publish children’s books on character and virtue.
  • We promote reading culture in children for exposure and good command of language.
  • We organize reorientation talks to change children’s values and attitudes.
  • We enlighten parents on sexual and other forms of abuse.

Our Activities

  • We organize parents’ fora in collaboration with institutions to guide on proper children upbringing.
  • We set up Friendship clubs for children in neighborhoods.
  • We have a model home for destitute children.
  • We assist indigent families with their children’s education.
  • We guide and correct destitute children and reconcile them with their families where possible
  • we provide counselling for abused children.
  • We liaise with national and international organizations on the development and well being of Children as well as for grants and donations.
